Through my work as a nurse I saw a wide variety of experiences in birth and postpartum and after becoming a parent myself, I truly came to understand the depth of this transition and the support required. It inspired me to pursue more training in birth and postpartum work and start a business providing these services to parents in my area. I believe a specific type of support is needed for parents during the postpartum period. Parents need to be seen, heard, and cared for to be able to meet their new baby’s needs while also staying strong and healthy themselves. My goal is for all families to receive the help they need to feel empowered in birth, breastfeeding, and being a parent.
